Check out this beautiful bikini made by designer Diane Raulston. Of coarse the pleated trim was made by us! Diane found us after the first pleating company could not successfully pleat spandex type fabric. Spandex is a very rubbery fabric that is difficult to stay pleated. Much more difficult than silk. However, as evident by this elegant swimsuit we applied the proper technique of pleating required for this type of fabric. The pleated trim is 1/4 inch and was cut into strips after it was pleated. This bikini was just submitted to Sports Illustrated for approval into the 50th anniversary edition.
